Aston goes Multichannel
Brainstorm announces new developments for Aston, the designer’s choice for motion graphics creation, CG and playout. New developments include new features that facilitate graphics creation, even when designers team up in collaborative workflows. StormLogic, Aston’s animation and template interaction logic also includes new enhancements, but on top of that Aston Multichannel has been significantly improved to allow for better management of multi-channel graphics and workflows.
Aston Multichannel can play out multiple channels from a single workstation or from different workstations, which can also be combined with the multiple simultaneous projects, and including InfinitySet into the equation, this further extends the capabilities of both solutions. Because of these new enhancements, Aston Multichannel now allows for compositing large videowalls, in any resolution or aspect ratio, comprising different graphics, projects or layers that can be rendered and stack in a single output with the desired aspect ratio to fill in the videowall as required. The advantage of this configuration is the ability to move, interact and configure the layout at any time, and send the resulting composition as a whole image or in different pieces for the videowall’s tiles, simplifying the creation and adding further creative possibilities.
OnDemand, Brainstorm’s graphics playout management application, can fully control Aston Multichannel, managing the different renders of a single workstation or even several workstations at the same time, ensuring complex productions can be sent to air, or to the desired display, without any issues.
Aston is also the core engine of other manufacturer’s graphics products, such as Dalet’s CubeNG (booth C4423), which also benefit from the new developments present in Aston 5, including Multichannel workflows. Aston will also be demonstrated at EVS (booth N2625), showcasing integration with Dyvi studio switchers.
“Aston is one of the most powerful and flexible motion graphics solutions in the market” says Héctor Viguer, Brainstorm’s COO and Engineering Manager. “The latest developments present in Suite 5 only increase its abilities to cope with any kind of graphic projects, no matter how complex, and its flexibility to integrate in any workflow is taken to a new level with the integration with manufacturers such as Dalet or EVS.”
